Safety Precautions for the Use of Pneumatic Fittings

Since these fittings are subjected to continuous compressed air pressure, improper installation or unsuitable operating environments can lead to issues such as air leaks or loosening. Therefore, before use, verify that the fitting model and specifications are compatible with the air tubing and pneumatic equipment.
When installing pneumatic fittings, ensure the cut end of the tubing is clean and flat-avoiding angles, burrs, or damage-to maintain a proper seal. When inserting the tubing, ensure it reaches the specified depth so the locking ring can securely grip the tube. When connecting threaded parts, apply moderate force; overtightening can damage threads or deform the fitting, impairing its functionality.
During operation, maintain the system pressure within the limits specified for the fittings to prevent rupture or connection failure caused by exceeding the rated working pressure. Additionally, conduct regular inspections for air leaks, cracks, looseness, or seal degradation; address any abnormalities promptly through repair or replacement to ensure safe equipment operation.
Before maintaining or replacing pneumatic fittings, shut off the air supply and vent internal line pressure to prevent hazards associated with the sudden release of compressed air. For high-temperature or corrosive environments, or specialized industrial applications, select fittings made of appropriate materials and of the correct specifications. Proper use and maintenance not only extend the service life of the fittings but also enhance the safety and efficiency of the entire pneumatic system.
